Vessel Offshore Management are the latest in a long list of maritime industry suppliers to be certified by MSS Global to ISO 28007-1:2015. They are the first to have been certified as a vessel owner providing a security vessel for operation in the South China Sea.
Vessel Offshore Management were formally awarded their ISO 28007-1:2015 certification on 10th October 2017. MSS Global conducted the compliance audit under UKAS guidelines and confirmed that Vessel Offshore Management had demonstrated that they have the processes and operational ability to meet the demanding international standard designed for companies providing armed security to the maritime industry.
ISO 28007:2015 is the international shipping industries supply chain approval scheme for armed security services. It was designed by the maritime industry to assure that vessel owners and operators, charterers and other major customers, are able to rely upon the integral safe, effective and legally compliant services of their suppliers.
The certification is a significant development for Vessel Offshore Management, who are a supply partner to the maritime industry, covering security operations in the South China Sea. The gaining of ISO 28007:2015 certification enables Vessel Offshore Management to be the first in the maritime industry to provide a high level of assurance to customers for services that are provided through its security of the supply chain processes in the region. This certification also reflects on the work Vessel Offshore Management does with its suppliers across the industry to ensure that their services are compliant.
Mr Bryan Toki, Director, Vessel Offshore Management, said: “We are very proud to achieve ISO 28007:2015 certification as it demonstrates that our systems and procedures deliver real value to our customers whilst enhancing overall security performance.
